Bellevue Downtown Park Construction Administration – Bellevue, Washington

The Bellevue Downtown Park is an urban redevelopment project consisting of open meadows, formal gardens, architectural concrete and masonry walls, precast concrete bollards and light features, street frontage improvements and water features including a belvedere fountain, circular canal, lake and waterfall. From 1986 to 1995 Richard VanDeMark was the City of Bellevue's Project Manager and led interdisciplinary design teams for every major phase of the Bellevue Downtown Park development. Responsibilities included principal project management, directing consultant teams throughout all phases of project design and implementation; play area and select planting design, bidding, and construction administration. Subsequent projects at the Park under RVLA included the west side parking lot and plantings and play area restroom.
