Master Planning & Facility Planning

Crossroads Water Spray Park – Bellevue, Washington

The purpose of the Crossroads Water Spray Park project was to redevelop a 22,000 SF area as a barrier-free water spray play area. The project’s low impact development features include raingardens, pervious pavements, rain recycling, and lush plantings that emphasize multi-sensory stimulation. The play area’s pervious surfacing creates a barrier-free setting for children of all abilities to experience an internationally-themed adventure in the heart of the City. The park has become a local and regional destination for children and parents. The master plan was instrumental in generating public interest in the project and was the centerpiece of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club’s fundraising efforts. RVLA designed and managed the project from inception through construction.
